Father God examines the righteous,
Shine on my path ever bright,
Like the noonday sun above,
So I see His face,
Through the loving just Jesus Christ,
Who is righteous to examine my cause,
And defending in front of my accusing enemy.
As I entrust my heart to Him,
I see Jesus Christ has always been my advocate
In every breath of my life.
The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence,
he hates with a passion. 6 On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.7 For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. (Psalm 11:5-7)
